There's a one year old in my studio!!!

Jason and I had some friends of ours over on Sunday evening. Amy & Isaac. Their little boy, Jacob just turned 1 years old and they wanted to get some portraits of him done. We had dinner, desert and then hit the studio! It was so funny because at first we sat him in the big bird chair and he wouldn't smile AT ALL! He held his one year old balloon (not a balloon that was a year old...but a balloon that had a big "1" on it!)  and played with it for a bit. It took us a while to get a smile out of him, but when it came, it was like heaven! There is nothing like the smile of a child!!! I wish I could have gotten some pictures or a video of all of us and the antics we were putting on to entertain little Jacob! It was so funny! Jason was bopping me on the head with the balloon (yes-while I was snapping pictures!), Amy was clapping, making Faces. Isaac was making funny noises and faces. I was constantly saying, "Jacob....Jacob....over here!" I think it kind of started sounding like I was talking to a pet, but I don't think Isaac and Amy took offense to that! :) They know I adore their little boy! I decided through all of this that I may need to be somewhat of a clown in the studio or out on location. I think I may have to get, or make, some sort of a photographers tool belt, with bells and whistles, a horn or two, maybe a small harmonica....you know, like noisemakers and things that are flashy that will get kids attention! Anyway, we had a blast, and I think we were all exhausted by the end! I took over 400 pictures...I have a heavy shutter finger, but I think it's necessary in order to get that perfect shot, especially when you are dealing with a child who just started walking and is quite quick! I'm going to post some pictures with this....Enjoy!!!

New Art & Photography blog.....

I'm thinking of using this blog instead of a website :) We will see how this works out! Love all of my friends and family and especially my hubby who is the driving force behind my talent and getting off my butt to live my dreams!
